Business Line Manager Lift & Lifting Equipment (m/f/d)

Tasks

It is your task to regularly identify market trends, including competition, through our operations and customers as input for the strategic Business Line development together with the Head of Industry & Installations, EVP and regions/countries
You identify gaps and needs (tools, software, execution systems) in operations on Business Line level, and drive improvement
Inside the Business Line you perform portfolio management; both with a global and local perspective
You maintain and develop the global network of Technical Managers within the Business Line through
You collect and share best practices between the operations, identify areas of improvement
Based on input from the analysis of market and our gaps (global and local) you initiate projects both for Service Development and Service Excellence
Furthermore, you coordinate and steer the relevant experts in other Business Lines, for services and service packages in the scope of the specific Business Line
You monitor development in relevant standards and accreditation schemes
This means, internationally, through Public Affairs Associations and Industrial Alliances, as well as through country clusters like e.g. European Commission. Locally, through the network of technical managers in the related countries
You search for potential partners and M&A targets together with Corporate M&A and support the M&A process

Qualifications

Degree in a Technical field related to the Business Line
Several years of experience in the actual Business Line
Profound understanding of the Business Line and general affinity towards technology
Very good market knowledge within the actual Business line: pure technical, customers and competitors
Able to communicate with effect and persuasion
Able to convey technical information comprehensively to various audiences including both experts and generalists
Able to draw people over a wide geographical area together for results
Structured with a getting-things-done mentality
Fluent in English
